Equestrian Rugs
These horse rugs are designed with specific purposes in mind, keeping horses warm, dry, cool, clean, protected and fly free. There are equestrian rugs to suit all these purposes. Horses will often also need more than one rug, aiming to accommodate for changes in weather, situations and surroundings. Stable rugs, outdoor rugs, coolers, fly sheets or fly rugs, summer sheets, travel rugs and anti rub vests and liners all have a place in the modern horse’s life.
To determine the correct size for your equestrian rug, measure the horse from the middle of their chest along their side and to the point of their buttock. Horse Rug manufacturers make and size their rugs from these points and work in intervals of 3”, adjusting the depth of the rug dependant on the size. Many rugs come with either attached or attachable neck covers. These are usually found on stable rugs or outdoor rugs for additional warmth.
