Saddlery

The most common date signifying the domestication of horses is 2000 BC, archaeological artefacts point towards horses being used for meat and for transport.  At this time there is evidence that horses were used in ancient warfare for pulling chariots and over time as horses grew in size (to between 12.2 and 14.2 hands high) they were used as mounts in warfare.  The successes that came from these uses saw their popularity across the globe spread fast.  Being used as mounts saw the uses of saddlery in the most basic of forms begin.  From wild Indians using simple saddle cloths and ropes to the gradual progression through time that saw the construction of saddles resembling what we see today. Saddlery along with the continuous use and advanced progression of horse and man evolved alongside.
